MCU Introduction
The PIC32MX device is a complex System-on-Chip (SoC) that is based on the MIPS M4K® microprocessor core. This page provides an overview of the system architecture and features of PIC32 microcontrollers that feature the M4K microprocessor core. The M4K cores are state of the art, 32-bit, low-power, Reduced Instruction Set Computer (RISC) processor cores with the MIPS32 Release 2 Instruction Set Architecture (ISA).
