Key Concepts

This part of the class contrasts the output characteristics of integrators, differentiators, and converters. Here, we analyze the operation of several converters and other op-amp circuits.

  • Integrators and differentiators
  • Converters and additional op-amp configurations
  • Integrator
  • Constant-current source
  • Differentiator

Important Pointers

  • The integrator produces an output ramp voltage as a result of a step change at the input with a slope proportional to the input amplitude.
  • The differentiator produces an output step-change as a result of a ramp input with an amplitude proportional to the slope of the input.
