Timer1 - Setup
Next, Timer1 needs to be set up. Click on TMR1 under Project Resources to make the Timer1 setup appear.
Timer1 will be driven by the instruction clock which will be set up in a future step. These selections need to be made for the TMR1 operation:
- Check the Enable Timer box.
- Set Clock Source to 'FOSC/4'.
- Set the Prescaler box to '1:2'.
- Set the Timer Period to '500 ms'.
After setup, the window will appear as below:
